I love potatoes. When comes to potatoes I will make anything with them. These beautiful and crunchy pancakes are a hit if you serve as a finger food or even as a side. making the pancake is so simple and easy.
You can add spring onions or even leeks for color and more taste. Add more flavours by adding some stock powder and bacon or any other meat to make it a full meal.
Every time I make them it flies away from the plate leaving nothing for me. 🙂 . The dipping sauce can be different from mine. If you are a vegetarian try not using fish sauce. I like it with out any dipping sauce.
To give a colourful look you can add grated sweet potatoes in it too.

If you want a cake with a smooth surface Ithink the mirror gaze is the best. The cake needs to be frozen. So when the gelatin hits the frozen cake it sets in no time. gelatin is the most important ingredient in a mirror glaze. Glucose syrup helps the mixture from crystallizing. Condensed milk helps the mixture to flow. White chocolate used for colouring and you can use milk or dark chocolate for brown colour.

Sago/ or Tapioca pearl is a common and a famous dessert in Asian Countries. It comes in two forms, Larger pearls and smaller pearls. Smaller pearls are very easy to cook and it needs no soaking at all. But when you cook larger pearls make sure to soak it few hours . When you soak it puffs up well. if not you will see an uncooked middle.
Cooking sago is simple and easy. You can use fresh milk or coconut milk for this. They both gives a creamier and a rich taste to it. Adding Jelly makes it look elegant and colorful. Select the flavours as you wish. I used raspberry jelly for this recipe.
You can make these jelly and sago the day before you serve. Can be done is a larger tray too. But don’t forget that it can go messy too.

This creamy mango pudding is a simple dessert that you can try during summer time. Its so simple to make and will not cost a lot at all too. This is a very popular dessert in Asia. When the mangoes are in season try this this recipe with fresh mangoes. You can use frozen or canned mangoes for this too.
If you are a vegetarian try making them with agar agar powder with out gelatin powder. Instead of milk or cream you can add coconut milk too. So it becomes vegan too.
This recipe is simple but gives a lot of it to please a large gathering. The vegetables I used to fill this baguette is colorful to catch the eye of the person who is going to have it. You can add more colour to it by adding different types of colourful vegetables.
Cream cheese and feta in this gives a creamy and salty flavour plus act as a binder. So it helps to hold all the vegetable in it and when you slice it it holds the shape.
Baguettes are not expensive. So, to make this to please twenty people cost only $ 7.50. So this is very cost effective too. Instead of adding feta or cream cheese you can add any soft cheeses to your choice too.

I try to do more vegetarian and vegan friendly. If you are a person who needs meat for every meal try doing something like this at least a day for the week and you will be amazed to how tasty these meals are.
Adding variety to your meals take you out from eating the same meals. The fried eggplants are so yummy. When you fry the eggplants make sure to soak them in salt water with a bit of turmeric. It will keep the eggplants away from browning and also takes the liquids out from eggplants.If you consider about oil in your meals try grilling the eggplants but fried is the best.

Sponge cakes are always popular for birthday cakes. You will see so many recipes but will not see the secret ingredient they use. Always looks awesome. But when you try , you will not get the same. So I am trying to unveil the commercial way of doing a good sponge wich will be same look the taste and also the texture just as from the bakery or a cake store.
Cake emulsifiers are the secret in a sponge cake. You will be able to buy them online. I always buy my ingredients online. That’s the most convenient way for saving time. How ever once you mix the emulsifier to a sponge cake it comes the same way as you get in a shop. So easy to layer. You can do cupcakes too this way too.
When you do this recipe first preheat oven to 180 and reduce to 160c later before adding the cake. I have asked you to use a 6×6 inch pan as I find that is the best.
How to do self raising flour
First of all I must say ,this is a vegan and vegetarian friendly recipe. I always do my way of vegetable patties for the kids. It saves money and we exactly know whats in it. Doing vegetable patties are so simple and easy.Every time I buy them from the super Market I feel its more floury than homemade vegetable patties. When you do them at home you can always add anything as you wish. The sky is the limit.
I always add seasonal vegetables in my burger patties. One thing is its cheaper to buy the seasonal vegetables and also they are fresh. Adding more vegetables in patties makes it rich as well as tasty. If you are gluten free try using mashed potatoes as the binder instead of flour.
